Mumbai Vada Pav Chutney/ Dry Red Garlic Chutney Recipe in 3 easy steps


Whenever anyone heard about Maharashtrian vada pav or Mumbai Vada Pav, the first taste that came into our mind is spicy yet delicious. Vadapav's chutney is basically made of coconut, garlic, and red chilies. 

This chutney is the most important ingredient which enhances the taste of vada pav. It is spicy in taste but having a great taste of coconut and garlic as well. 

It is so easy to make and tastes really great. So let's jump to the recipe.

Mumbai Vada Pav Chutney/ Dry Red Garlic Chutney Recipe:


Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 15 mins
Servings:  10-13 people

Ingredients:

  • Dry red chillies: 4-5
  • Grated coconut powder: 3/4 cup 
  • Roasted sesame seeds: 2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder (Lal Mirch): 2 tbsp
  • Garlic cloves (lehsun): 16-18
  • Salt: as per taste

Method:
Step 1: 
Take a pan, dry roast dries red chili, garlic cloves, and grated coconut powder (Roast sesame seeds also if you are taking raw).

After roasting for approx 3-4 mins, these ingredients going to look like this:

Step 2: 
Now, add roasted garlic cloves, sesame seeds, and dried red chilies into a mixer, and mix it with the on-off method or on pulse mode. 
After that, add dry roasted coconut powder, red chili powder, and salt in a mixer and mix with the same method only.

Step 3: 
Our Mumbai Vada Pav Chutney is ready.



Notes:
  1. Don't roast coconut powder too much otherwise, it will release its oil.
  2. You can accomplish this chutney with daily daals also.
  3. Mumbai Vada Pav Chutney is spicy, you can adjust red chili powder according to your taste also.
