Sheera or Atta halwa is a traditional Indian sweet made with wheat flour, ghee, sugar and dry fruits. This simple delicious sweet has a fluffy & soft texture with delicate flavors of cardamom & ghee. Atta halwa is made in many regions of India with more or less the same ingredients & similar methods.
This recipe is also called Kada Prasad in north because it is always cooked during the Navaratri festival as the Prasad to goddess Laxmi.
In Maharashtra and Gujarat, it's called Sheera.
It is really a tasty dish and simple to cook, just a few tips you need to take care of. So let's get started with the recipe.

Ingredients:
- Ghee: 3/4 cup

Method:
Heat some ghee in the kadhai. Once the ghee is heated, add Wheat flour to it.

Step 4:
Now add sugar to it and mix well. Keep the flame on low to medium only.
Step 5:
When sugar gets completely mix with halwa, add dry fruits of your choice & cardamom to it. (I have added dudh-masala to it as it is a mixture of dry fruits and cardamom powder & khus khus). Cover the lid and let it cook for another 2 mins.
Switch off the flame. Our Atta halwa/Sheera/Kada Prasad is ready.
Serve hot. You can garnish it with dry fruits.
Notes:
- Remember to keep your flame on low-medium during whole recipe otherwise it will burn.
- Always keep on stirring the Halwa, there may be chances that it will stick to the bottom of the vessel.
- Atta halwa/ Sheera/ Kada Prasad tastes awesome when it served hot.
